Unit 1
Canine Health Care
Learners will recognise the essential requirements needed to aid health in canines. Learners will identify common health issues linked with canines and understand various methods to try and help prevent these issues from occurring.
Unit 2
Canine Training and Behaviour
Learners will acknowledge and recognise the usual behaviour in canines. They will identify how to help welfare and behaviour concerns, which occur through canines everyday regime and relevant training, from occurring.
About Your Qualification
The Level 2 Award in Canine Care and Welfare has been designed to provide learners with knowledge and information regarding basic canine care and welfare. Learners will explore specific behaviours in canines such as aggression and stress. Learners will gain knowledge on how to provide care and create a calming atmosphere for animals in their care.
This Ofqual approved qualification is relevant for anyone who would like to learn more about basic dog behaviour. This is a foundation dog behaviour qualification suitable for dog owners, dog walkers and sitters, dog daycare operators and those wishing to explore a career in dog training and behaviour.

We have plenty of related qualifications for you to move onto after achieving this award qualification in canine care. If you want to further your knowledge and understanding of canine care and behaviour then we have the option of further study right the way up to Level 5 to qualify as a Canine Behaviour Practitioner!
